Thank you for considering Just Fabulous for your wedding cake. My goal when creating a cake is to make it an exciting and memorable focal point, one which tastes as fabulous as it looks. Your ideas are welcomed and important to the process. I am happy to do the “simple and elegant” look; however, I’m at my very best creating custom work which challenges my skills.
Consultations are by appointment only. At this time, you will have the opportunity to view our portfolios and sample a selection of cakes. It’s very helpful to come prepared with details of your event such as color scheme, florals, linens, decor, design elements of the wedding gown and bridesmaid’s dresses. What is the overall feeling you are hoping to convey? Is it over the top glamour and elegance, casual and fun, modern minimalism, ethnic, brilliant color, shades of white and ivory, seasonal? Every detail helps me to design a cake that will fit seamlessly into your overall vision.
Remember that there are many other services which Just Fabulous can offer to make your event unique. Edible “Save the Date” packages, personalized favors to be included in welcome baskets, place card cookies, boxed truffles and sweets. The Groom’s Cake is becoming increasingly popular as an opportunity to surprise and delight your soon-to-be.
Cost for a wedding cake is dependent on the simplicity or intricacy of the design. Prices begin at 6.00 per person for a very simple cake with buttercream accents. Cakes covered with rolled fondant begin at 7.00 per person and go up with the addition of design which might include hand-crafted sugar paste flowers, leaves, ribbons, seashells, painting, pulled and blown sugar work, photo art, sculpted figures, etc. Cost on a cake with some of these additions can go considerably higher.
A non-refundable deposit of $100.00-$500.00 is required to book your date. The amount of the deposit is based on ultimate cake cost. Delivery and set-up costs are $65.00 to $125.00 for greater San Diego County locations. Delivery to Orange County, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas is dependent on project.
There will be a rental fee and a refundable deposit on any equipment used for the set-up of the cake. Lucite pillars require a $150.00 deposit. Lucite satellites require a $300.00 deposit. Wooden or wrought iron stands require a $100.00 deposit per stand.
The client is responsible for returning these items to Just Fabulous Pastries within one week following the wedding. At that time, the deposit check is returned. If damage occurs to any items, the amount will be deducted from the deposit. If equipment is not returned within the following week, a late fee of 5.00 per day will be charged. If the equipment is not returned within 2 weeks the deposit check will not be refunded.
*We suggest that fresh flowers for the cake be arranged through your florist.
*False layers can be made for a larger presentation.
